The story of Launay Saffron started in 2016 for Stéphanie and Michel Malaplate. Being a saffron producer is a high-risk trade, harvesting should be done as soon as the flower opens, cultivation requires immediate human intervention. The saffron produced on the Giraud farm is certified Quercy origin. This strain has been cultivated in France for several centuries. The products are made from the red pistil of the flower. The raw materials are organic and local. Known as « red gold », saffron is an excellent flavour enhancer !
